Ask the Chinese, why they are not seeking a papal mandate for their bishops. No problem apparently for the Vatican there. Like all modernists, they speak with a forked tongue.
Senior Hamas official Bassem Naim held a call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on 23 June, the Palestinian resistance group announced in an official statement. “Araghchi expressed his gratitude for the call and for Hamas’s supportive position, affirming that the Islamic Republic will continue supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause until the full realization of their legitimate national rights,” the statement said. It added that Araghchi told the resistance movement that “Iranian leadership, represented by the negotiating delegation, continues to raise the issue of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza, the occupation’s continuing violations, and what he describes as ongoing genocide.” According to the Hamas statement, Araghchi affirmed that Iran was pushing for an end to genocide “in all international forums” as well as in “current negotiations.” He also renewed the call for serious international action “to protect the Palestinian people and compel …
One has to wonder what is it with Jews genociding the Palestinians. I have not heard one peep from Bobby Prevost or hs minions on this horrific matter.
2nd book of Kings 25,1-12. In the tenth month of the ninth year of Zedekiah's reign, on the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and his whole army advanced against Jerusalem, encamped around it, and built siege walls on every side. The siege of the city continued until the eleventh year of Zedekiah. On the ninth day of the fourth month, when famine had gripped the city, and the people had no more bread, the city walls were breached. Then the king and all the soldiers left the city by night through the gate between the two walls which was near the king's garden. Since the Chaldeans had the city surrounded, they went in the direction of the Arabah. But the Chaldean army pursued the king and overtook him in the desert near Jericho, abandoned by his whole army. The king was therefore arrested and brought to Riblah to the king of Babylon, who pronounced sentence on him. He had Zedekiah's sons slain before his eyes. Then he blinded Zedekiah, bound him with fetters, and …More
The Road to Character by David Brooks Audiobook Full 1/2 David Brooks Audiobook Full on Jun 13, 2017 “I wrote this book not sure I could follow the road to character, but I wanted at least to know what the road looks like and how other people have trodden it.”—David Brooks With the wisdom, humor, curiosity, and sharp insights that have brought millions of readers to his New York Times column and his previous bestsellers, David Brooks has consistently illuminated our daily lives in surprising and original ways. In The Social Animal, he explored the neuroscience of human connection and how we can flourish together. Now, in The Road to Character, he focuses on the deeper values that should inform our lives. Responding to what he calls the culture of the Big Me, which emphasizes external success, Brooks challenges us, and himself, to rebalance the scales between our “résumé virtues”—achieving wealth, fame, and status—and our “eulogy virtues,” those that exist at the core of our being …More

By An Old Police Reporter. As deplorable as the Phagan case is in all its melancholy details, it already is evident enough that there will come of it eventually much that the community may be thankful for. In the first place, Atlanta and Georgia, and incidentally the entire South will have learned a good lesson in law and order, justice and fair play, and to that extent may be the better prepared for the next case of the kind that comes to their attention. In the second place, there will be in the future no such wretched bungling and frenzied appeal in and from police headquarters, as for a time marked the …More
What God Values, World Despises The world often misunderstands and undervalues spiritual pursuits, viewing them as wasteful. However, from God’s perspective, these pursuits are invaluable and essential for spiritual growth and becoming saints. We should embrace this perspective, focusing on God and living our lives for Him, regardless of worldly judgment. Fr.
