There are two things you should know about me. I’m a traditional Catholic. I’m autistic. People don’t seem to like those things about me, although most people are too polite to say anything about it. I converted to Catholicism when I was 17 after a powerful, life-altering moment in time. It’s not important what happened except that after a lifetime of doubt and atheism, I now knew for certain that there was a God, He was in charge, and He wanted me to serve Him rather than fight Him. How are you supposed to react to that? I was 17, not stupid. I signed on to Team Jesus, and no matter how hard I tried to rebel against it, I just kept getting pulled back in. Probably for the best.

Why Hundreds Of U.S. Banks Are At Risk Of Failing Across the U.S., hundreds of small and regional banks are feeling stressed and may be at risk of failure. Of about 4,000 U.S. banks analyzed by the Klaros Group, 282 banks face stress from commercial real estate exposure and potential losses tied to higher interest rates. Most banks facing risks are categorized as small, or community, banks. Though the risk is less systemic compared to the Big Banks, community and regional banks are an important source of credit to local businesses and governments. “There’s no doubt in my mind there’s going to be more bank failures,” former chair of the U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Sheila Bair told CNBC. Watch the video to learn more about the risk of commercial real estate, the role of interest rates on bank balance sheets and what it may take to relieve stress on banks — from regulation to mergers and acquisitions. cnbc

Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, who postponed his trip to Rome two weeks ago in the midst of the ongoing war on Gaza, took possession of Sant'Onofrio's, his titular church in Rome, on 1 May. This church is home to the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. It was packed. In his homily, the Cardinal said that people could not wait for the US to resolve the war in Gaza: "These are difficult moments, but they are also moments of hope, because perhaps something is moving in the current negotiations, hopefully. We must never give up. In any case, the situation remains very dramatic, serious and difficult. In addition to the military problems, which exist and are serious, there is the humanitarian problem in Gaza." Picture: Michael Haynes, LifeSiteNews.com, #newsKoreggbhrv

Wow. That is the high altar at Sant’Onofrio, and pictures I have found show that they certainly do have a “Cranmer table,” which is outside of the Communion rail. I wonder whose idea it was to celebrate ad orientem. I still don’t believe that there is any future for a “reverent Novus ordo,” but this is interesting.

Things that will never be explained to you at school or in high school. Banks create money out of nothing, the loans that banks make inject money into the financial system. Money should be a measure of a country's productive economy, it is the economy's blood flow. Injecting non-productive, but speculative money generates inflation. We are in a perpetual crisis, but the stock market does not stop rising, institutions borrow that money to speculate. The little friends of the central banks print money that then the big funds borrow at low interest to speculate while your money is worth less and less.

Inyectar dinero no productivo, sino especulativo, genera inflación.
