Father Casey Cole, a Franciscan, published on Instagram.com (8 July) a video showing him on "America's Got Talent", an American talent competition broadcast on the NBC television network. However, Cole has never been a guest on this show, which is aimed at the simple-minded. He simply filmed himself in liturgical vestments behind a Eucharistic table and mixed it with scenes from the show. The video is so well done that simple minds believe that Cole's appearance on the show actually happened. The video begins with one of the judges asking Cole how he is doing. Cole replies: "I feel so sick I could throw up." He then introduces himself as a "Catholic priest", causing the audience to go into hysterics. After a few more nonsensical questions, he starts his performance. It consits in the words of institution of the Novus Ordo Eucharist and the elevation of a host. The "consecration" of the host is followed by another outburst of enthusiastic hysteria. End of the video. Instagram claims that …More

Fr. Cole has been corrected a number of times on the things he posts, by more knowledgeable people than I, but I did have it out with him several years ago and he blocked me, then YouTube shadow banned me. I won't attempt to judge his intentions but Fr. Cole is clueless on some topics and his arrogance and pride are badges he wears proudly. It's all about the attention.

Now they tell us Russia is bad. I do not deny , at least it was rarely good. But the Ukrainians murdered in a bestial manner (so cruel that even the Nazis were horrified) about 200,000 Poles, Jews and Russians were not spared either. It was genocide. I know that the real criminals were Hitler or Stalin, who murdered millions. But no one murdered with such bestial, animal hatred as the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. Now they have decided to murder their own people. Even if Russia is evil, it does not change the fact that Nazi Ukraine is very evil.

July 10, 2024 On a sunny afternoon in May, Zachary Galante was sitting in a conference room in St. Francis de Sales Seminary with several other young men, talking about what it meant for them to choose the Catholic priesthood in the year 2024. The next morning, they would make lifelong promises of celibacy and obedience, and they were palpably elated by the prospect. “It’s a beautiful life,” Deacon Galante, soon to become Father Galante, said. There was a time where the church “maybe apologized for being Catholic,” he said later in the conversation. He and the other new priests agreed they were called to something different: advancing the Catholic faith, even the parts that could seem out of place in an increasingly hostile world. “The church is Catholic, and so we should announce that joyfully,” he said. In an era of deep divisions in the American Catholic Church, and ongoing pain over the continuing revelations of sexual abuse by priests over decades, there is increasing unity among …More
